Hard to watch get hammered by tech, defense has been torched by 2 wide open offenses, we have to find a way to defend that, but on the positive side the league is so bad maybe we won't be exposed

I honestly dont see any difference between this staff and Zooks staff. Offense looks identical, read option and crossing patterns being 95% of the playbook. Defense looks worse. Special teams are just as bad. I was honestly excited for the change, but very disappointing start to the season. Have I already lost faith? I don't think that would be fair, but I haven't seen a single thing these first 4 games that gives me hope.

You're failing to take into account just how terrible the rest of the Big Ten is this season. Seriously, there's not a single national-caliber team in the entire conference, so we can compete with anybody. It's that bad.

It's unfortunate that there's going to be a bunch of posts claiming Beckman isn't a good coach and Mike Thomas is an idiot because people think we would go from 12-30 in conference over the last 4 years with poor recruiting classes for the most part to a solid all around football team.

Told myself Arizona State would be the low point of the Beckman regime. Little did I know what would come 2 weeks later. Only been coming to games since 2006 so take this for what it's worth, but that was the worst game I've ever been to. I always thought it'd be better to get blown out than lose a close game (ala 2010 Minnesota) but that's not the case at all. Hardly anything to be positive about in this game. Just ugh. Still believe Beckman is the guy for the job, but this sucks right now.

The PSU game in Zook's first season was by far the worst Illini game in last 20 or so years.
