Watching the game for the first half and into the 2nd half was super entertaining.

That was fun! I haven't said that about an Illini basketball game in quite a while.

Was it bad that I wanted to see the team hit 90+ points?
The team looked great this game - it was fun to watch and looked fun for the players (in case you couldn't hear Brooke say that). The team is playing so much more unselfish than the past bunch of years, it is refreshing. |

So nice to see the team look like they're having fun out on the court. Tonight may have been the first time I've ever seen Griffey smile. He looks so much more confident out there this year.

Hard to believe this is a lesser version of last year's team. Everyone was dialed in on defense and the offense was getting guys open. Don't know how any high school kid wouldn't want to play in Groce's system. Yes, it was weak competition but we all know how that often went in years past.

I have a very hard time seeing how Ibby is on this team next year. Maybe he will surprise me, but I just don't think he can play at this level.
Griffey is such a different player under Groce. So much more confidence and he looks fantastic. Paul still plays out of control. I guess we need at least one guy willing to shoot it no matter what, but Paul needs to tone it down just a little bit. __________________ Williams to tie it with a three......HE DOES!!! |
