80+ and I never felt like we really pushed it. What a change in philosophy.

Just a 23-point win over the team that smoked Texas who took USC to overtime after we beat USC.
Now we take on the team that beat UNC and kept the coach we were going after. To win a tournament. __________________ Hype is a self-serving beast that feeds on the hopes and dreams of fans. |

I feel like Langford would have brought the place to it's feet had he been able to dunk that ball at the end of regulation.

Well done boys ... well done.
This is such a breath of fresh air. We are winning; we are playing hard; it is entertaining. Fun times all around. |

Somebody mentioned this in the game thread but playing in the Maui Championship game is BIG. A win would be even bigger. But what I'm really hoping for is that we show the same effort and energy we've shown to this point. A lot of people will be tuning in tomorrow night (including recruits). Time to show everyone the new era of Illinois Basketball.

The Illini fanbase really needed this type of play from this team early in the season.

I think tomorrows game is alot like this game went, only the score will be closer. no 60% from the field. it will be interesting to see how butler comes out since their first game they won on a buzzer beater, and tonights game was 20+ came down to almost a squeaker at the end. And Illinois has won their last 2 by a combined 53 points.

possibly, even though a win over Butler won't be considered more impressive than had we won Maui by beating UNC, despite the fact that Butler easily beat UNC

Gotta love the change we've seen in only 5 games. A lot of the kids have improved vastly, and we aren;t battling the shot clock every possession. Fun to watch. Also glad I'll never see that Hu kid play again.

I think our biggest strength is our depth. Langford and Henry can ball. Player of the Game was Joe Bert.
