"Illinois Football: The Journey" Debuts Tuesday at 8:30 PM CT

The Big Ten Network original series Illinois Football: The Journey debuts at 8:30 PM CT on Tuesday, Sept. 2. The season premiere begins with the Illini's preseason preparations at Camp Rantoul and follows the team through its season opener against Missouri.

The first episode of Illinois Football: The Journey includes exclusive interviews with Head Coach Ron Zook, senior linebacker Brit Miller, junior quarterback Juice Williams, sophomore wide receiver Rejus Benn and others. The Journey cameras were there for the first preseason practice in pads and the intense, spirited one-on-one "Oklahoma Drill."

This is about the coolest TV show I've watched since Moonlighting.

THIS ROCKS!!!!!!!!!!

And they showed an encore presentation of our 1990 upset over Colorado before the show. I love the Big Ten Network.

Brit Miller stealing the show!

"I have a dream that one day the Fighting Illini will be united under one strip of upper lip hair. . . from Mark Twain to Ron Jeremy."

That guy is hilarious.

Recap

Heres a recap for those who couldn't see it. Im sure you can catch it online but here it is anyway:

1) Intro: Intro to the show, Camp Rantoul is introduced, Zooker shows around the weight facility/tents

2) You can watch this entire second segment on the trailer for the Journey website. It's the first day of practice in pads, Oklahoma hitting drill.

3) You can watch this entire segment towards the end of the big ten preseason preview for Illinois Football. It is Brit Miller hosting "Mustache Day."

4) This segment unveils the brand new turf at the renovated Memorial Stadium. First Scrimmage.

5) Last days at Rantoul, strength, lateral movement drills, coaches analyzing tape.

6) Back on campus, camera team follows freshman Supo Sanni around campus and to his Sports Management Class. Practice at Memorial Stadium, gigantic speakers are brought in to simulate crowd noise for the Mizzou game.

7) Final Practice, cameramen follow the kickers, punters, and longsnappers playing punt golf. Looks lame.

8) Gameday, clips coming on next week's show.

My favorite chants were Will Davis' "OUR TIME" huddle chant, and Brit Miller screaming " OOOOOOOO GIVE ME THREE (clap clap clap) FIGHTING ILLINI." those were cool.

Great show! Really loved it. I think it will help with recruiting not that we need a whole lot of it.

There was the greatest hour of television ever.

Zook talking about how great Rantoul is and the players talking about how they hate it, it was classic

"This is about the coolest TV show I've watched since Moonlighting."

Really? Did you record it on your Sony Betamax too? [Just kidding]

It was great for Illini junkies like myself. I liked the camp stuff with Zook and the players.

Britt Miller is a scene stealer, but I was totally shocked by how out of shape he was. He looks like he should be on my beer league softball team not a Big Ten football team. Maybe a little less jokey and a little more lifty and runny.

Lots of fun though. Looking forward to the next episode.

My only question is will this be available for sale after the season is over or do I need to copy it myself.
