Meyers Leonard was on the court for the first half of Tuesday's exhibition opener against Wayne State.
It's just that you only noticed him when he was dunking. We already knew he could do that.
Not coincidentally, it wasn't until Leonard asserted himself in other ways that Illinois was able to pull away from Wayne State (Neb.). Illinois won the game 79-51 before an estimated crowd of about 6,000 at the Assembly Hall.
