I heard it was Drew last night. My nephew is an alumni who closely follows the team. Kentucky wants Drew and I think the feeling is mutual but everyone knows that negotiations don't always work out. He has built a great program there. Conference championship, sweet sixteen, 2 elite 8's and a natty.

I don’t think Drew is the best fit at Kentucky but it’s so funny to me that they think they’re above one of the 7 active coaches that has a ring. Can’t even imagine the reaction if they hired Underwood.

Well there will have to be some belt-tightening around the Calipari household. Cut those coupons. Personally, I'd love to be in a position to take a $1.5 mil cut. I'd even tolerate people yelling Sooooeeeeee Pig at me for the $7 mil.

And how did they keep it so under wraps? /s

If Scott Drew to UK happens, I assume Tang to Baylor happens, and I'd say KSU would target McCasland hard (there were heavy rumors about him being a target during their last search when they struck out with Brad)

Would be wild to have two coaches move within conference.

Based upon a lack of noise out there, I'm sensing that our 2024-25 head coaching position is now 95% locked-in.

If true, I'm content. Let's get that roster built-up.
If true, I am ecstatic!! While I NEVER want to lose Brad Underwood to any job (even Kentucky), I certainly would not want it to happen after coaches at places like Alabama and Baylor decline the offer ... not a great look for us, IMO, as I consider Illinois to be a better job than both.
