That missed goal-tending call is WILD. If you can review at timeouts if a shot was a 2 or a 3, I think you should be able to review clear goal-tending calls. As in, if the question is whether it was touched after it hit the backboard. Review rule needs added for that, I think.

I can't believe nobody saw that live though.
What is silly is that can be reviewed if called on the court. It is a terrible miss by the refs, as anything close to goaltend should be called to allow review.

The rule needs to be changed though...

Dont get me wrong, I’d rather be up, but I’ll take being down the 3 pts the refs screwed us in that half with sparty playing out of their mind. Second half has got to be about defense.
Someone on this board was wise to who the officiating crew would be and said you will know them when you see them. I've seen then now and they are driving Izzo nuts. Brad knows he cannot act that way.

Six total rebounds for our starting five in the first half. That ain’t gonna cut it. We should be way up on the boards against this team, and we’re -2

Offense needs to be Shannon as first choice. Walker Akins aren’t big enough. They have hoggard on domask

From all of my BB viewing I am seeing refs call games in almost all conferences......I have seen Courtney " no gonads " Green call some games in the SEC this week to 10 days........I think the white haired ref was calling the game where a player made a 3 pointer to win a game but had stepped out of bounds before making the winning shot........NOT REVIEWABLE.............

anyways , the refs are bad AS USUAL and no action by the B$G.........I'll never get used to the inept performances but it's falling on deaf ears , just like the 3 blind mice reffing performance's is expected to be awful...................

Not picking on you, but motion to stop saying this every game. We have to accept our defense has sucked.
Didn’t say it hasn’t sucked.

But it doesn’t change the fact that 5 or 6 of their guys are shooting g better than 60% from the field in that first half. And they are not all wide open shots.

Too much switching.
We do not have “interchangeable parts” on defense this year any more than we did last year. Trams switch to get the matchup they want and then exploit it.

I love Goode but he’s a big liability on defense. Just doesn’t look strong enough.

Fortunately MSU can get suckered into taking the “tough midrange twos” underwood likes to force. But if they continue to go all the way to the basket, we will have a tough time stopping them.

We just need to survive and get the f out of East Lansing with a W. I knew this would be far from a cakewalk.

We were up 8 in the first half and we are now down 3 at halftime.......seems to me that getting QG and cohawk back going strong and playing their usual game we will be able to retake control and eke out a win.....LETS GO ILLINI !!!!!!!!!!!!

Hard to win rebound battle when you allow opponent to shoot nearly 60%...

It'd be nice to get Quincy going again. He looks like a different player compared to earlier in the season. We need that dog that fought for every rebound, drove to the basket, and could hit from three back.

Also, its much easier to attack with Hawkins in and when he went out the Big mens for MSU just stayed in the lane. If Hawkins should get some clean looks and I hope he knocks down and opens up some panes for TSJ.

Yes at times he is; but I think it’s more of an angles/quickness/lateral movement thing.

Edit: But maybe you didn’t mean physical strength.

Anyone else feel like our ball movement has slowed tremendously since the Mizzou game? I realize TSJ out changed things but even now, the ball seems to be sticking so much more. I see the value of booty ball, but it feels like we’ve gone heavy in that direction.

It could just be me, but we don’t seem to see as many baseline drives, with kicks to the opposite corner and quick swings to the wings
