Found this website, no idea how credible it is, but they are projecting Illinois in the WNIT, with at least one game in Champaign.
This site predicted Penn St in as a #11 seed. Penn St will either be one of the last 4 in/first couple out. If Penn St does make the tournament, Illinois has the best Big Ten record not in the NCAA Tournament and would automatically qualify for the WNIT in past years. Think still WNIT but I am not sure who has priority between choosing teams in the WNIT or WBIT. Sounds like the first 4 out of the NCAA Tournament are going to be #1 seeds in the WBIT. Either way just want to see some more hoops for the ladies.Found this website, no idea how credible it is, but they are projecting Illinois in the WNIT, with at least one game in Champaign.
WBIT against MO St.When is the soonest we can expect to hear if the Women are in a tourney?
Yes.Here is the entire bracket for the WBIT. I am assuming that if we win Thursday, and if Miami wins their first round game, we would be traveling to Miami for round 2.
Highest seed gets the home game during 1st round, 2nd round and quarterfinals. What a break this could be. James Madison has replaced Miami (turned down invite) in the WBIT. So instead of facing the #1 seeded team we would play against a team that wasn’t even originally invited. If we beat Mo. St. I’m assuming our second game would also be at home too.
Correct. Plus if somehow all that happens(we win) than chance of 3rd home game in quarterfinals if the #2 and #3 are knocked out by that matchup. The First and Second Rounds are on ESPN+ for $10.99 a month, cancel anytime. Although ESPN+ is bundled with many other services, it is not with YTTV. IF Stoney Brook can knock off James Madison and IF we can win over Mo. State, this would be another home game for Illini?
Thank you! Go Illini!Correct. Plus if somehow all that happens(we win) than chance of 3rd home game in quarterfinals if the #2 and #3 are knocked out by that matchup.
