Congrats to you all. That game went about how I thought it would. Shannon’s just a great player. Your kids made clutch shots when they needed it. Not our best game but a large part of that was due to you. Beat UCONN
Thanks but we should have won by 10. Hopefully it balances out the FT next game.

Whoever said score more than 70 and we win, give yourself a hearty pat on the back.

Congrats to our guys for showing a ton of resilience. TSJ with big plays. Domask was key. But for me the difference in this game was Coleman Hawkins consistently making good decisions under pressure.

Don’t want to take anything away from Iowa State, but feel like our bad free throw shooting and some questionable calls in the second half kept that close.
I said score another 36 to get to 72...didn't see ISU scoring 46..they scored more than I exoected

A funny side note that I couldn't share second half....

Greg and Carter at Sleepers did a video segment asking each other for one crazy unexpected thing to happen to each Sweet 16 team.

I thought....hmmmm crazy Illinois thing in the NCAA Tournament?

TSJ fouls out with 5 minutes left. That was my thought. Jfc......my brain sometimes.

TSJ letting his game do all the talking. Has America taken notice yet?

Also, really great contributions from Goode, Hawkins, Dainja, and Guerrier/Rodgers(1st half). I feel like this was a true team effort to get through this ugly style of basketball. Iowa St really did impose their will but we deserved to win it...not them. I'm glad the free throw shooting did not impact the final result. That would've left a sour taste in all of our mouths
Seconded for Goode. I don't know what's up with Harmon, but Brad clearly did not trust him when we needed everything we could get from our guards today. And it turned out to be the right decision

Free throws, yes … needs improving. But things go wrong in March, and great teams survive. THIS is a great team!!

This is already an elite season, quite literally, and I’m so thankful. I’ll save my other comments for the UConn pregame thread, because all I want to say here is I’m SO proud of this team right now!!!!
Me too Fighter!

I’m so proud. I’ll have much more to say tomorrow when I can formulate a sentence.
