One thing to note, Herendeen could be a special talent. Kid hits it the farthest on the team right now by a good amount. Dude crushes the ball Rory style it’s crazy. If his short game is working like I assume it was round 2 watch out

Short game is one element that can improve with practice and coaching

Watching for Herendeen to flash Nick Hardy level performances (win Big Ten individual as a freshman).

Welp, this is a strong statement, probably based on automatic qualifying from the event mixed with a playoff for a spot or two in the top 5. At least that is how most coaches at the college level choose their top 5. Hunt is playing as an individual today. Smart is not scared to sit a stud that is for sure.

Women lost a lot. Sy is solid and the freshman looked good too! Frick leaving was tough and not sure why Halama didn’t play injury?

Not a bad day, just no one got hot. I hope by spring time jackson has a Tommy/adrien like consistency but that might take till next year

Agree, didn't shoot their way out of it. Nobody finished their round in style, Timmy and Max were both under par late in the round and gave one back on the 17th and 18th respectively. That always leaves a bad taste in your mouth. But even par rounds will do just fine in this tourney.

I feel the addition of Crawford and Goecke has raised the floor on this team significantly. Jackson and Piercen are guys that have proving they can go quite low but also have erratic rounds. Having two very proven 5th year seniors to just steady the ship and keep things afloat until somebody fires a 66 is just what you need. Small continues to impress year after year with his ability to find players. Here is hoping they can come out today and get in position for a Sunday run.

Today the course looks to be playing very easy so far. Lots of birdies out there from the teams who’ve played. Hope to see some low rounds!

Hunt didn't exactly perform like Small was probably hoping for after being dropped from the 5 man rotation. Finished last among the 8 Illini playing.
