You've got it. And Hawkins has a year of eligibility left in the unlikely event he doesn't choose this weaker draft to seek his NBA future.

The NBA has no interest in a midrange shot. They want to see he can make a wide open corner 3 and shoot free throws.

But the biggest thing is that with TSJ's departure you assume he'll be getting the toughest defensive assignment every night, against a variety of different player types.

Show excellence and versatility there, make great decisions with the basketball, continue being a chaos agent, and look non-catastrophic when shooting it and the NBA will start seeing echoes of Alex Caruso or Draymond Green.

I wouldn't say he's followed an NBA trajectory to this point, but we all see there's more that might be unlocked there. If he's Da'Monte Williams the next two years, great. If he breaks through beyond that, look out.
Da'Monte hit some threes that last year; Ty hasn't taken so much as a jump shot that I can recall. So, yes, a 6'6" ultra athletic Da'Monte would be nice.

Lots of discussion about skill sets of Coleman vs Amani, I wasn't comparing those just the fact that their shooting percentages early in their career don't accurately reflect their skills as a shooter. Amani can definitely be a pick and pop type of big once he gets more comfortable on the floor and the game slows down for him. At this point in his career if he is dribbling more than 3 times in a row its probably not a good thing.

Yeah Amani and Coleman aren’t the same player at all. Think LeRon Black is a better comp for Amani. A little undersized, below the rim player but a complete bulldog who can also stretch the floor.

I do think he would have carved out some minutes, particularly when Quincy was in his mid season swoon, if not for his back injury. I hope he sees that and sticks around. Going to be a very productive college player.

Black is a much better comp, but Hansberry's ceiling is considerably higher, IMO.
