Storr de-committed from us and went to St Johns. Definitely not the same. That said, lol
There’s something not right about such a major player for a rival school switching sides like this, but as an in-state kid who was originally committed to us, I’ll self-servingly say it was him being in Madison for a year that was the problem!

This is not like when people wanted us to take Hunter Dickinson, which would have broken me.

Nothing will happen officially until after the season-so hopefully a couple of weeks!

It's very encouraging that the ask from Storr's camp was not ridiculous and that an agreement was reached fairly quickly. I highly doubt Brad would be taking Storr if the questions weren't answered satisfactorily

work with Fletch (bust butt), be a team guy (EDG), play D, become a lottery pick

Anyone who wanted us to take Dickinson was just as broken inside as Dickinson is after losing to us so many times.

he ain't fooling anyone lol
It’s tricky. I think he’s been seen in the second round of certain mock drafts. But NBA scouts are going to be horrified by his lack of defense and playmaking. He plays a very NBA-unfriendly game, a bit like a discussion we had about Jamison Battle a few weeks back.

But it’s a weak draft. This might be the moment to jump.

Where NIL really changes the game is in flipping the financial incentives in this situation. He’d be leaving a ton of money on the table to turn down being the home state star scorer for the Illini to go grind on a two-way deal.

If Storr ends up here, I hope he wants to emulate Shannon's progress and takes on his routine. He has a ton of talent to be special.
What happened to his 3pt % this year? Dropped from 40% to 32% on only slightly higher volume. His 2pt %, FT %, and FT attempt rate all went up noticeably, but his TS% went down (was already worse than almost our entire team, and lower than TSJ and MD have ever been) due to his 3pt % dropping.

Not to mention, the opportunity to be BMOC and be on the highlight shows, rather than hanging out in the relative purgatory of the NBA roster bubble.

I’d guess shot selection. Similar to Hawkins last year vs. Hawkins this year, except the opposite.
