I hope Sencire finds a team that can really use him on a larger scale. That may be in a mid-major team (Illinois State for instance) where he could possibly be a starter. I wish him all the best.

Should be very interesting to see how good Purdue is without Edey. He was their scoring, rebounding and defense.
Indiana may be better but they still cannot shoot. Woodson is old school - does not embrace the 3 pointer and fast break.
Wisconsin is losing Storr. Hepburn is fun but can he do it by themselves. Have not heard any portal noise.

In regards to Harris, I seem to remember reports (I believe from at least one insider) that he was making great progress on his offensive skills. Maybe just not enough progress?

1. Transfer portal is not preventing any kid from getting a college degree. Just a degree from a different school.
2. Kids that drop out early entirely have career prospects that don’t care for a college degree.
Sorry, but do you think Coach, staff, and boosters are telling recruiters to spend more time in the library or the gym?

The one thing that keeps my nerves on high alert is the fact that our commits could suddenly decommit. I got fingers crossed on that issue.

Michigan is replacing an epically bad coach with a guy who had FAU as an 8-seed the year after he took them to a Final Four. All the ‘Dusty-mid’ talk is serious copium.

Better
Michigan
Ohio State
Indiana
Rutgers (massive wildcard - probably worse to start and better at the end)

Same or Portal TBD
Penn State
Maryland (maybe better?)
Michigan State
Illinois
Nebraska

Worse
Minnesota
Iowa
Wisconsin
Purdue
NW

Still Don't Believe in Big Ten
Washington
USC
UCLA
Oregon

Some of this basic regression - Michigan and Ohio State are going to bounce back. Purdue and Illinois are likely to fall back towards the pack. A lot of this shows the trends of NIL and booster funds in action.
I think we'll be worse this year even if the portalling goes terrific. Just hard to be Elite 8 good losing all the talent we are. That said, it's very possible that in 2 years we may just be better than this past year if everything breaks right. I also have PSU likely being better- they were a young team with some talent, Iowa being the same if not better as they also had some young talent. Maryland almost has to be better, but they're losing a lot, and I still don't know how it's even possible they were so bad this year with all the talent they had, so you're likely right there. Other than that, I agree with your tiers

To the initial post about worrying about them being great next year, the question is whether they can make it rain in the portal and have everything click immediately.

To which my answer is: maybe!
