Think Hansberry was a casualty of the roster construction.

Have Morez coming in who looks far more dynamic and guys like Goode and Ty that can play minutes at the 4. Swapping Booth for Hansberry adds some much needed length.

Now to add a center and some guards/wings.

Jones' stats are better across the line on similar usage (2pt%, 3pt%, FT%, Pts/100poss, ORB%, DRB%, Ast%, STL%, BLK%, ORtg, DRtg, WS/40) except for turnovers. He faced worse competition, but based on how much better he was in all those categories, I'd bet on Jones being better this year. Storr may have a higher ceiling further into the future, but he's unlikely to stick around long.

Can you swing this towards the Illini? Just saying Conwell would fit really nicely besides Boswell and he's an Indy kid.

I promise this isn’t sour grapes, but I really don’t understand how Ballo is the top rated transfer. I think he’s really good, but to me he is a really poor man’s Kofi. The times I’ve watched him his hands have been suspect and he just seems a little clumsy and uncoordinated, and also doesn’t process things quickly and isn’t a great passer. And he clogs up driving lanes. The LaTulip film room on Boswell (if you aren’t a premium subscriber on 247, highly recommend) just reinforced that to me…Ballo just really limits the style that you can play in, much Kofi. Now Kofi was so efficient and physically dominant it was worth playing that 4 out O/ drop D style. But even if Ballo is 75% of Kofi (and I doubt that), not sure the juice is worth the squeeze.

But if you are completely opposed to spacing, 3 pointers and pretty much the entire modern basketball ecosystem, probably a great fit.

I'll link my handy portal tracker and explain some of my interpretations on top targets.

Booth does seem like the most likely next pick-up as has been hinted at on here.

There's a good variety of guards that have been name dropped here that the staff likes. Top target right now is definitely Dante Maddox - which will be highly contested with Xavier & Louisville (has visited Louisville, currently on his visit to us, Xavier is scheduled after us). We were heavily linked with AJ Storr and may still yet be an option for him but seems like he's shopping himself to the highest bidder. A few names that we're linked as back-up options to Maddox included Duke Miles, Jordan Pope, Ryan Conwell, and Selton Miguel, although we can't slow play them forever as Indy's hinted that Xavier is closing in on Conwell.

Hill was brought up as a target but the talk on him has cooled since Tre committed - Otega Oweh may still lump in with that group of back-up guards as well. I'm guessing we're out on Pop Isaacs with Kylan coming in to run the point but that's just my gut feeling with no info. Davis is another one that would be a good get but hasn't been talked about with us as much.

As for Forwards - Xavier Amos is the only that got heavily discussed for a while. Again that quieted with Tre and the pick up of steam on Booth, but maybe he comes back into play with Amani out the door.

We have heard so many details about who we are up against for Maddox. Do we not know as much about what is going on with Storr? I know there was the thing about his girlfriend. Is it really just as simple as Kansas is in the drivers seat at this point? Is there anyone else in on him?
