I like our chances much better after the visit than I did before ... They were blown away by our facility ... Dad had nothing but fantastic things to say about the visit ... TA really connected with the family ... And Brad made it VERY known how much he was NEEDED here ... Not wanted ...

I also think the fact that Desmond Claude still has not entered the portal changes the Maddox recruitment for Sean and Xavier ... They definitely wanted Claude back but they were planning on him being gone by what they were told post season ...

So then they actively were pursuing 2 starting guards (Maddox and Conwell) because they were planning on having 2 starting spots ... Well, it sounds like Claude may stay now so that leaves 1 starting spot and a lot less NIL than they originally planned on being available because of the NIL Claude commands ...

All of that to say ... I think Xavier only takes 1 guard of Conwell and Maddox .... And I think Conwell winds up being the guy for Xavier ...

Which leaves us in a pretty dang good spot ...

We will make room if he is granted a waiver and as I have stated many times, we have individuals who will handle his NIL so that Brad and staff can recruit without having to worry about holding back $$ for him ...

Expectations would be and should be just as high as they were last year ...

With a Domask waiver and Hawkins return, does that upset/cause issues to any one committing to this team? I know Brad will put the best out on the floor, but if those two return, along with a Maddox commit, expectations should be sky high correct and very very good depth?

All I've heard since he entered the portal was St. John's ... But the fact he hasn't committed there yet makes me think it may not be the lock Slick Rick thought it was ...

A good listen in general, Domask comments at the very end.

He speaks of the waiver as something Domask is doing, not the school (though I'm sure the school is supportive), and that he hasn't heard anything on it in awhile.

We're recruiting as if he'll be gone because that's the only sensible thing to do even if a waiver was reasonably likely (which it is not). By all accounts it's in the NCAA's hands at the moment, no inside information exists on the result, not with BU himself, not with Domask himself nor his attorneys. We wait.

Nothing has changed in terms of status ... Just waiting to hear back on the waiver ...

Best case scenario IMO would be,Boswell,Maddox,Booth,Garrison,please insert Domask over Storr if possible.I could envision this being an ELITE starting 5.

Is there something I'm missing about Maddox. We're talking about him like he would be a marquee get.

I get that the rankings boards aren't the most reliable. Maddox is ranked 117 on the on3 website and like 96th on the 247 site.

That's the right move there. You give him the best offer you're willing to pay him and if he turns it down he turns it down. I think people also need to realize that his camp is likely looking at the NIL deals other high end portal recruits are getting like Ballo to justify a very stiff asking price. If Ballo is worth $1.2M, then Storr's camp likely thinks he should be worth similar.
