Can't wait for Sears. Would love to see a Boswell/Sears backcourt when Booth and Jakstys have had a lot of Fletch in them and (in Booth's case) a year's worth of experience to toughen them up. Maybe Jakstys will redshirt, we'll have to see. In the meantime, would love to get Coleman back. That assumes I'll still be around to watch.

Good morning Illini Nation to the recurring daily rebirth of the " Portal plight of the Illini "...........an exciting excursion into the dark depth's of all things concerning the portal auctions of players to and fro onto the landscape of college BB and what importance that has in the reality of daily life and it's effects on sports fanatics emotional and mental stability........

An in depth session of questions and answers that tax our ability to understand what certain decisions made by 18-22 year old males & females will do to our enthusiasm and functionality in the real world........How player X will help or hinder our beloved team for next year and the forseeable future...................................

Then tune in tomorrow for a new installment of this continuing saga............It's what we do and what we enjoy.......it really really is..

@Rich .....I'll paraphrase what you stated: Does Illinois even want a TSJ player who shoulders the load. Uconn had a more balanced team and look at the success they had.

Oh course, the Illini would much rather have a balanced team of studs! Can you imagine if TSJ was on Uconn's team? He wouldn't have to dominate as much, and his game would be a bit different, his stats would be slightly "down", similiar to Dee, Deron, and Luther all had less mind-blowing stats, but all got the recognition they deserved.

In the last thread it looked like Maddox to Xavier was a done deal... but news-wise all I can see is that he started a visit there yesterday. Did I miss something or are we just assuming we needed to get a commit while he was in town?

From what I could tell, it was just that the goal was to get him before he could visit and if he did make it there, it was not good.
