I went to the beach without lotion......now I got side burns.......

A crazy wife says to her husband that moose are falling from the sky. The husband says, it’s reindeer.

Ladies, if he can’t appreciate your fruit jokes, you need to let that mango.

Did you hear about the restaurant on the moon? I heard the food was good but it had no atmosphere.

Why was Dumbo sad? He felt irrelephant.

I lost my mood ring and I don't know how to feel about it!

Yesterday, I accidentally swallowed some food coloring. The doctor says I’m okay, but I feel like I’ve dyed a little inside.

So what if I don’t know what apocalypse means? It’s not the end of the world!

What do you use to cut a Roman Emperor's hair? Ceasers.

I've tried to keep a sheet together of the names that have been mentioned here of guys who are in the portal that we are targeting.

One thing you'll notice of course is a lack of high priority big man targets. The implication for the 5 right now seems to be some combination of being dependent on the AC hire and names not yet in the portal. Boynton for example could open up Garrison (currently in the portal) as an option given that he recruited him to and coached him at Ok St. Antigua is of course a very respected and connected big man coach and could open us up to names that either aren't current targets or aren't in the portal yet.

Link to Sheet.
Sometimes it's hard to keep your sheet together.

Maddox has a higher NIL offer from both Louisville and Xavier....
If your asking youselves how/why.....
Illinois has two big time guys lined up. They don't want to overspend for Maddox to put that in jeopardy.
All I will say for now. Things will get rolling soon..

The plan is to add another 2 guard, wing, and 5. No Maddox stinks, but part of me wants DGL to play that role as a bench scorer. Really high on his upside

I expect the two big time guys to be a wing and big
Greatly appreciate you, Indy, 0440 and the few others that bring what the rest of us don't know and want to know. This is not a knock on you at all but we have heard Brad is cooking for a while now. Thought Storr was a done deal and then thought Maddox was a lock. Looks like will go 0-2. If Brad does not get two studs with 2 of the 3 remaining, this team is middle of the road in the B1G.

Strong defender who was a fringe NBA prospect after last season but came back to SMU and had a down season despite still being SMU's leading scorer. 1 year left to play.

Just a straight up bad shooter. I would take my chances with Marcus Hill instead. We're in the dented cans aisle either way.

I'd also rather have fellow Rockford native Sincere Parker who we've heard nothing about since he entered the portal.

I still think we land some studs. Everything I hear is we have a ton of NIL, upwards of 5 million. I doubt Brad and staff will be afraid to spend it.

This is not some prognostication ... I just really finally want to be able to look at a comparison like this with pride and bask in the recent success! Last season:

ILLINOIS: Elite Eight as a #3 seed. 29-9 record. Big Ten Tournament champions. Final AP #6. Underwood entering 8th season here.
CREIGHTON: Sweet Sixteen as a #3 seed. 25-10 record. No championships. Final AP #13. McDermott entering 15th season there.
XAVIER: NIT First Round loss. 16-18 record. No championships. Final AP not ranked. Miller entering 3rd season there.
MICHIGAN: No postseason. 8-24 record. No championships. Final AP not ranked. First year coach hired from FAU.
LOUISVILLE: No postseason. 8-24 record. No championships. Final AP not ranked. First year coach hired from College of Charleston.

Again, it feels REALLY good to potentially lose out on recruits for reasons other than we don't have the recent success to be a draw.

haven’t been on in a while so forgive me if it’s been said. Hearing that Brad and Co are cooling on some of our transfer targets. They think Marcus and Coleman are coming back.
The silence around the Hawkins situation has been weird.

He has until next Saturday to declare for the draft.

Trust in Brad. The portal is open till May 1. There will be player withdrawing from NBA draft. Plus there are grad transfers who don't need to enter the portal. This is the last year of Covid 5th year players. Lots of fish in the sea. Brad's coaches will be outworked by nobody!
