I have a 3 p.m. ET call so am going to miss MaddoxMania. I'll get my steaming hot take in early:

Our tentative inbounding plays were the deciding factor discouraging him from donning the O&B. It's really what's keeping us from the FF.
Well hey, we ended up finding something in that lob, catch and shoot to Terrence ;) Unfortunately, that's about the only BLOB play we ran consistently other than toss it to the top of the key.

So Maddox gone storr gone things seem to be falling apart?

I'm ok with Storr to Kansas. Between asking for the moon, momma and coming in from another Big-10 school it was bad karma. I don't know the young man and won't opine on his attitude, work ethic or sense of team. There's more in the portal and if Domask gets his waiver, it's all gravy from there. Beat him twice during the 2023-2024 season, enough said.
David Jones and Domask back plus add a 5. Who says no?

I think the important thing here is that even if the Storr transfer appeared to be a "done deal" at some point (I have no idea if that's true, but that's clearly the suggestion), the staff was smart enough not to put all their eggs in that basket. I'd expect nothing less, as the only way to play the portal game right now is to assume nothing until the ink is dry.

Pretty sure Coleman has a passport and can travel overseas. College is not his only viable option...

He can possibly make more money in NIL next year, but maybe he is done with the "school" thing.
I’m not some guy who makes lots of wild claims on here. Hawkins injury is serious. Be prepared for him to be playing college basketball next year.

My badger alumni friends are beside themselves
I am very glad Illinois has mostly benefited from the new Wild West of college sports, but if college hoops is effectively going to become pro ball anyway, we should have the same contracts they have in the pros, as well. An NBA player can't just leave for a new team every single year, lol.

Based on posts from earlier today by @LvilleILL , I don't think this impacts the 2 guys he said we have "lined up". I could be wrong, but my take is that he wasn't referring to Storr as 1 of the 2 guys. All that to say, I wouldn't think this frees up any more money for Maddox.
Not that I'm doubting what the insiders are saying but I'll believe it when I see it. We have had a few guys supposedly lined up that didn't happen.

The whole landscape needs to be reformed, it’s a joke.
