Imagine if NBA, MLB or NFL went to one year contracts. It would be crazy but very entertaining. Unions would be against it as multiyear guaranteed contracts are more beneficial to players than the team. Lonzo got $80M for half a season.

Yeah I hear you. I have no idea how "lined up" things actually are. My point was only that, I don't think Storr was plan A anymore, and that NIL money seemed to have been earmarked for these 2 other guys and thus not available for Maddox even though Storr is off the board.
He would get 0 minutes at Kansas …

I think contracts seem like the easy fix...but get ready for the unions. I'm not sure any of us are ready for a college basketball strike.

They can if they want to… just sign a one-year deal. They don’t because you have less security (you don’t want to get hurt and be left without a contract after the season)
Especially if it’s in conference and closer to home…
