Wisconsin fans not happy. Chucky Hepburn is in the portal
Looking back, the clues were pretty obvious.

Of course Storr would have been a nice add but his play in the tournament for Wisconsin left a real bad taste in my mouth. Hope the staff had plans for a backup real early once the mom got involved. Last year was about learning from our mistakes on recruiting chemistry and fit, this year is about being prepared for RayJ situations.

I think most of us would be pumped to have him back in college next year. The wildness of your claim was absolute certainty "as a fact" that he would be back in college next year. Coleman has many options that he will sort through over the next few months, college being one of them. I personally hope Coleman comes back for one more season in orange and blue, but I am nowhere expecting it at this point. The injury is actually the best chance of him returning for sure.
Ok. Should rephrase it. Coleman Hawkins will not be playing in the NBA next year. He has a serious injury that will not heal in time for him to participate in the NBA draft process. He only really has 2 options:

1. Sign an NIL deal now with assurances that he will play the 4 next year in college
2. Wait until he is healed then attempt to sign a contract with an overseas team for likely less money and NBA visibility.

I suppose there are other options too. He could run for office, pursue his CPA, or join the circus. But really the only option he has is to play college basketball. That is why I said it was a fact. Not trying to be snarky, but I get actual information about once every 2 years and this is it.

Right now … The knee is still giving him issues …

The storyline to watch is if a 60-70% Hawkins is still a draft worthy NBA prospect …

And I think he could be …
Is there a thought the stock could improve significantly enough with a year of a healthy Hawkins that would outweigh the cons of another year of college? He didn’t seem to get as much NBA buzz through the year (at least publicly) as I anticipated with how much he improved his 3pt shooting.

Coleman needs to take more good shots. He is too unselfish. He also does not cut to the hoop or try to take it the length of the court ala TSJ.
Needs to be more ball dominant. Demand the ball when the shot clock is running out. Drive to the hoop and draw fouls.
If he averaged 18 ppg 6 rbg 5 apg he would be more attractive.

You should have a problem with it. It's bad for business giving kids all the power that they want. And how do you force a women's team to take a player when they are building their own culture and need pieces that are fits for them. Again, bad business.
Kansas women’s team in shambles right now

Has he had surgery?

Hard to believe he signed all these players, kept Ty and DGL, and convinced all of them to come off the bench. Our rotation was what, 8 or 9 last year on most nights? This would be 12. Tough to keep that many happy.
Our rotation will be 9
