You can't say "illini for life" then go to a main conference rival, don't care if that's where you're from. If you know you're going to the Hoosiers just don't throw that last line in your goodbye post.

Recall couch Antigua recruited Meledez and Curbello. With Goode gone, there is some probability and merit for Melendez to return.
Not a fan of bringing Melendez back. I really wanted him to be successful here, but he can’t get over the mental part of the game. If he could, he’d be a good role player. I just don’t see that happening.

Kind off agree with you. Much like a young Cohawk,
he had to think before initiating his move. He could overcome it like Cohawk did.

I don't view Onyenso as a monster add. I know that the NBA scouts see intrigue there. However, he was a Sophomore 8th Man/defensive specialist on a team that wasn't better than last year's Illini. He's a take, but I'm not about to run through the streets on that one.

I remember the advice Ayo got in his first year with the Bulls. It was either the coach or a veteran who told him to:
”know what you are going to do with the ball BEFORE you get it.

Seeing Ugonna is from Nigeria, does that mean he can’t profit from NIL?
Good question. It’s a matter of his visa status.

He moved to the US in January 2021 to play high school basketball, it’s possible he’s gotten a green card in that time?

But if he’s on a student visa he’s stuck in the same boat as Zach Edey who also played a year of HS ball in the US.
