Hear, Hear...Amen.....getting tiresome with the " I'm your man till I find something else" attitude.

People keep asking about the NIL of foreign nationals.

Most have FS1 visas, which limits income.

But ... if, say, Illinois would travel to Spain or another foreign country, then they could earn NIL.

Also, if the student-athlete goes home for break, they could sign a thousand jerseys at $100 apiece.

anybody know if we have our eyes on anybody else who has yet to hit the portal? Or are the 3-4 other incoming guys already in

Following up on comments from last thread…

There have been 57 different players on the roster according to Sports Reference during BU tenure three players have played 4 years with Illini.
1. Trent
2. Damonte
3. Coleman

To answer the question about players like Ayo and Kipper who went pro early, or played 4 years but started under Groce.

Players who played 4 including Groce time
1. Kipper Nichols
2. Aaron Jordan
3. Leron Black (if you include his injury redshirt sophomore year)
4. Samson Oladimeji

Players who left earlier for pros:
1. Ayo
2. Kofi
3. Giorgi
4. Leron (still had redshirt year)

Overall during BU tenure players by years played:
4+ = 3
3 = 11
2 = 14
1 = 29
So if we get RJ Back & he finishes with Illinois does he count.

One of the positives of the Coleman entering the portal rumors that started popping up yesterday is that now the news of him officially entering the draft is a happy occasion.

Obviously we would have all loved to have him back for a fifth year, but if he had hit the portal, that would have been beyond devastating. But now we can all eagerly watch him get a shot at the NBA!

TSJ first rounder, Coleman Hawkins second rounder, Marcus Domask 2 way deal
This might sound crazy, but I could see Domask having the longest NBA career. Despite being undrafted.

Ugonna b good.
I just looked and he only had 8 games in which he played 20 minutes or more. In those games he averaged 5.9 ppg (on only 31 shots, 11 of which were in one game), 7.8 rpg and 4.8 bpg. Also had 6 games in which he played less than 20 minutes but had 3 or more blocks.

So, Jeremy, Jeremiah, Jamarri and… Skylar?

Sounds like the Fears family has a real “Blinky, Pinky, Inky and Clyde” thing going on there. 🤔
At least mom/dad made small changes to the names…unlike Ricky Council.

List of schools that contacted Ugonna Onyenso after he entered the portal didn't include schools that contacted him before he hit the portal. :)
what would you put our chances of getting him at?
