Where is the whole not successful at Xavier narrative coming from ??

Kid averaged 16,4, and 4 ... Played 37 MPG ... Guarded the other teams best player ...

And played through a major shooting elbow issue all year and never missed a game ...

He is a good shooter ... Not elite ... But good ... The elbow issue has been fixed ...

Domask was only 29% on 3s this year ... Worked out alright for us ...

Sean LOVED the kid ... Did not want to lose him ...

Dez's camp was shopping the kid all year behind his back and now they've lost the best offer they had trying to negotiate for more money ... And that's not the kids fault ...

I'd take him in a heart beat if Jones and Domask are not options ...
Thanks. I take back my question then. 👍

Are we between Claude or Jones or we would like to take both? Let's hypothetically say Jones doesn't suit up, is Claude good enough to be the 1st scoring option?

I think there is somebody else entering the portal too

Who do we have off the bench that can handle the ball ?
DGL?

We have four years of college data showing that Posh is a lousy outside shooter. I thought the narrative being pushed here is that we were looking for a piece more versatile than a lock-down defender who can’t shoot (see: Sencire discussion).

Posh, David Jones, AJ Storr and Andre Curbelo were all on that team in 22-23.

And Soriano ... How does that team not get 20 wins ... :ROFLMAO:

I'll never forget the game where they mic'd up Sean Miller and Mike Anderson ... The difference between the 2 coaching wise was just so insane ... Which I knew it would be bad ... I had no idea it would be that bad ...

Indy, glad to see you back dropping a few pearls here. UNC Wilmington's Trazarien White just entered the portal. His numbers look pretty good to me: 19.8, 6.8, 1.6; 51% on 2s, 39 on 3s (tho just 2 attempts/game,) 71.6 on FTs, 52.1 eFG; 6'6" 180 lbs; 2.5 TOs/game not great. He is from Texas. The CAA isn't a powerhouse, so it would be a big step up in competition. White played 2 games against majors: at UK, he had 27 & 10, and at Arkansas, he had 28-5. Seems like he might be a good backup plan if DJones doesn't materialize. Thoughts anyone?

Anderson was a 40 Minutes Of Hell system-ball guy in a sport that is moving rapidly away from that kind of program and he always seemed like a weird fit at St. Johns.

Unlike Slick Rick, the Patron Saint of outer borough greaseballs. College basketball needs a big time Johnnies team, just for the vibes.

I doubt anything will come of the Storr tampering, even though it certainly did happen. It's happening with everyone, but we may have been a bit bold about it. Do you really think that either Storr's camp or us would divulge anything that may incriminate them?

But it would be peak Illinois to get the hammer dropped on us for tampering with a player we didn't even get.

The NCAA is losing power by the day, and every fight they take to court is another public showing of that fact.
What? Who's tampering? Not here.

Indy, given that statement about David Jones, who would be the pivot for the Shannon replacement if didn't work out?

I have a close friend who's a diehard St. John's fan. I ended up watching most of their games that season between that and Belo being there. It was shocking how Mike Anderson was fumbling that clearly talented team. A truly dreadful coaching job.

And count me in on Posh if he's a possibility. He's an absolute dog and I think Brad could get the most out of him.
