He is 16 years old. He is not Shaquille O'Neale.
I would prefer a 6-10' 250 lb grad transfer who can rebound and play post defense when we play again bruisers. 8 ppg is fine, be nice if he can hit free throws. Jack Ingram, Damir Krupilija, George Montgomery, Scott Meents, Jarod Gee.....
I never wanted him. But that frees up the bag for Louisville to go after Humrichous which makes our competition a little big stiffer now.....

Not saying this is the reason Brad is in Serbia but you never know. Somewhere between 6-10 and 7-0 and he’s got skills . One of the names mentioned in the previous thread above. Maybe Brad brought his tape measure to find out for himself.

Yep ... we love to complain, and frankly it's woven into the fabric of our very state ... no thanks to the politicians that run it. Too many Illinoisans - and especially Illini fans - have practically adopted an element of their personalities that IS someone who is "smart enough to call it like it is" or whatever ... and it just comes across as being constantly negative.
Perhaps, but we've had so much bad luck I can't blame anybody for preparing for the worse. Luckily it seems like we have really good people running the athletic department finally. We just need to be patient as hard as that is. It doesn't help when the insiders get everybody all worked up about who is coming on board before anything has happened, imagine the meltdown the board would have had if Goode was actually a decent player.

You probably already knew this but somebody has done their homework! The guys on sturdy's podcast were really high on both Humvee and Tre White! According to them if Humvee plays well in Orange and BLue this year the NBA will be all over him. He has a serious skill set and it does translate. They also mentioned that we are combing the continent for a big.
Not globally?

another scholarship has opened up no, which makes me hopeful the staff has a strong gameplan

There are enough wings that can score in the portal that I'm not as worried about that role, particularly if some additional big names enter this week.

The Center market is bare as everyone has said - it doesn't appear there is even an obvious backup plan (I have no idea about the Serbian kid). We really need a hail mary like Kalk entering the portal at this point to pull this off. I like Morez a lot, but asking him to be the only guy that can cover the 5 is not fair for a freshman to have to shoulder
