The stat came from that video, starting at about the 3 minute mark.

The examples they play are a bunch of him shooting a 3 off of a pin down, and a couple that just aren't even screens at all. But the stat suggests he's Chris Paul or something. He's a capable and heads-up player in the flow of an offense, but no more than that.

That Youtube account does an amazing job cutting clips of the nine trillion guys in the portal and has been an invaluable resource, but I pretty much just ignore the statistical headers which feature weird methodological choices and often don't match the clips.

Anyway, I am caught between liking Humrichous and the fit with what we want to do, and finding the inevitable comparisons with Domask and expectations that he's going to be a star offensive centerpiece to be wildly off base.

We're a long way from where we want to be at the moment.

The stats don't come from the person who makes the video so whether he uses examples that are relevant or not the stat is still valid. If anything you should do the opposite of what you say, ignore the clips and focus on the stats.

Our list seems stuffed to the gills with guys like this, true bigs who would be undersized as centers. Any insight on the staff's thinking there? Is Kaluma and Humrichous a functional frontcourt?

Who is guarding all these ogres the Big Ten keeps recruiting? Kaluma is super similar to Guerrier who was never asked to take those assignments.
Kaluma is like if Guerrier thought he was MJ

I alluded to this last night, but keep your eyes on Big Z’s brother.

Legit 7-footer who’s a lob threat and 40% 3-point shooter. He was playing in Serbia while Brad was there, and he and Tyler Underwood followed each other on instagram within the past few days…
I Hope Please GIF

Anyone have any more background on this guy? Certainly sounds intriguing. Is he slower but "stouter" than bigZ?

Agree with Gritty - Humrichous is going to be contributor but don't expect him to fill the Domask role from 23-24. IMO he will be better than Goode as a shooter, ball handler and defender.

I see BH as more of Domask, booty ball, replacement but able to hit a turnaround 3 and still finish at the rim like MJ. (Probably the closest/best comparison)

He’s our new CoHawk but with the vision and first step of Demitri McCamey.

I see him as the starting 5.

Think he's coming back to school ... I have his list that he's interested in, but I cannot share at this time ...

He is going into the portal with a "do not contact" tag ... FWIW ...
Is Illinois on that list? Is there any bad blood for not recruiting him hard the first time?

If you want me to "check the record", would you like to remember what you were saying last summer about our chances? Let's not go there. Tons of people in here last offseason acted like the world was ending and we weren't a lock to make the tournament because we missed on a point guard
Hell, some were saying that in March!
