Replace the martini with either beer or whiskey. Or a milkshake, for that matter.

There Will Be Blood is a better movie than No Country for Old Men. There, I said it. Fight me.
Two of the greatest movies of the 21st century that were also filmed very close to each other. There will be blood is my second favorite movie of all time, behind godfather part 2.

since USC got claude where is DJ Wagner going and why arent we pursuing that?
The seeming lack of any serious mutual interest in Kentucky guys is really strange to me, especially the ones that didn't follow Cal to Arkansas.

Maybe OA, who saw them every day in practice and likely had a hand in recruiting them, knows something about those guys that we, as Illinois fans that paid little or no attention to UK during the season, dont.

I’m still basking in the glory of this season and what this coaching staff delivered.

Last round of 32 win in 2005 was against Nevada where James Augustine had a huge game to help us pull it out. This year in the round of 32, Duquesne knew within the first 5 minutes they couldn’t carry our jock straps. I’ve never seen Illinois do that to a team so early in a tourney game (I’m 41). Then we handled the #1 defensive team in what should have been a blow out. We played with a generational team for a half.

Love this add and like the 5 transfers in over what we lost, though I love and respect those guys. The wing add is critical but the portal takes time and now weeks of negotiating, not just recruiting. I like where we’re at and the coaching staff’s approach. Tourney this year, deep run next year.

P.S. I’m sure I’ll be stressing again in an hour but the season ends so abruptly. Take the time to bask.

Yes Agree with that. Once we got Orlando, thought we'd be able to being in at least one, maybe even multiple KY players. Thought we'd target multiple at least. Seems like we're getting none and aren't really targeting any real seriously. I'm not quite sure if that's right though - I'd rather use the splashiest AC hire in the country to at least try to get some of those KY guys with major, major upside. Guess the staff doesn't see it that way...

The only dude I'd feel good about adding from Europe is Egor Demin. Anybody else (like Big Z's brother) might be good as a simple "add" to the roster but not sure if them playing a big role is that great of a thing.
A 7’1 guy who can hit the three and has been playing against grown men including former college stars. I’d feel pretty good about that

Egor is not happening!!! If he is projected to be a lottery pick why in the hell would he choose to play in college???

Yeah. He projects at the #9 2025 center per NBA Draft Room, above such dudes as Okpara, Danny Wolf, Omoruyi, Ballo, John Bol, and Baye Fall. Under OA's development he could easily be one of the best centers in college and end up drafted.

Egor Demin is the equivalent to a 5-star freshman. Which is to say extremely talented but young and with little experience or exposure.

The team for which Tomislav Ivisic is currently contributing and often starting would be comfortably the best team in the Big Ten, that league as a whole is closer to the NBA than college basketball.

Guys like Tomislav are generally just pro basketball players not NCAA eligible, and not that interested in playing for "free" and going back to school anyhow. Dunno how we'd crack that code, but if we have that would be pretty exciting.

PNR 5 Pick and pop offensive sets within an NBA match up scheme.. Our Offense with the right 5, will average 82 + points a game..

Honestly, either would be a huge coup. Both would be incredible and we could probably start making reservations for tourney sites already.

Yea he def. got the potential. He can surely be one of the best 7 footers in CBB. I was just saying him immediately playing a big role for us as an incoming 16-17 y/o from Europe...I mean...that didn't work out too well for UCLA. But would surely be a good add don't get me wrong.
