Kadary Richmond would obviously be the biggest home run, but I think Wooga would plug right in and be a huge pickup - really good three point shooter on high volume - is 6'5" so has the size Brad likes in his back court. With him, Boswell and Ben spacing the floor it would really allow Ty and Trey to be the slashers and get to the rim

If we get Tomislav and Wooga - I think we're back in big ten title contention and maybe even the favorite
Incidentally 247 has updated their rankings, and Kadary Richmond is #1.

Norchad Omier ahead of Tucker DeVries is completely insane, IMO.

Some other notables, Cam Christie #15, Wooga Poplar #18, Coleman Hawkins #23, Kylan Boswell #38, Skyy Clark #91, Carey Booth #94, Posh Alexander #95, Ben Humrichous #109, Dante Maddox #130, Luke Goode #134.

Coleman said in his interview after the UCONN game that he was not coming back here. He also stated later that he is sold to the draft. If he does not get drafted, my understanding is that he could make more money through NIL than a 2 way. I hope that I am wrong but he has plenty of options and would fit nicely at either UCONN and UNC among others. He will get a very HEFTY BAG somewhere! Could it be here? I don't think so by what he said. Again, I wish I were wrong but anyway. It is what it is. I like what the staff has done thus far! Looking forward to BIGGER things coming up!
Not indicative of Coleman returning, but he actually said "I think, probably, this is going to be my last year in an Illinois jersey," unless you’re referring to another interview. Again, I’m not saying he is or is not coming back but he didn’t definitively say publicly he wasn’t coming back to the Illini.

This was before cable tv and netflix. The only way to see it was the movie theatre although it was popular at U of I for student organizations to show movies lie this one in classrooms on friday night for $3. They even showed XXX movies. Doubt the University would allow them to do that now.

If we are fortunate to get Demin, I'd go to war with any team. Based on his highlights, I have to wonder why he's not in the NBA right now. And please don't anyone mention his defense, because there's no poster on this forum who has seen enough of his game.

JMO - Brad could give Coleman featured role and design offense around him.. At Illinois he averaged 32 mpg last 2 years. If not for foul trouble it would have been close to 40 mpg. Brad loves him. If he goes somewhere else like UConn, Kentucky or UNC he might be limited to 20 mpg role player and see his NBA draft status actually drop. I can't imagine we would get outbid for Coleman. If he goes it would be because he just wants to try something different.

NCAA rules wrt to NBA draft are pretty stupid now that NIL is here. They should let people go thru draft and if they don't get drafted or sign NBA free agent contract they should still be eligible! Just my crazy opinion until some judge issues TRO to make it happen!

Not the perfect player but he gave his all every game for the Illini. Hope he gets drafted by NBA or he comes back!

You need to be more doom and gloom about our chances but also express trust in the staff but you don't even care any more because college sports have changed and mention how you knew Domask would be good for us before he even entered the portal last year
Yeah I was in a hurry LOL

I can see a more skilled Mike Tisdale type. I also attended the Portsmouth Invitational and thought the players weren't that tall until I was courtside.

I saw we were one of the teams expressing interest in Lanier. Does Tenn have that locked up?

Do we have any confirmation that we are even pursuing Demin? I know that was the google search hypothetical some put out there, but we at least have confirmation now that Tomislav is one of the ones the staff is pursuing, I haven't seen that on Demin, unless I missed it

Yeah he's listed at 7'1" so maybe he's 6'11.5" or 7'0" but I highly doubt he is only 6'10" and they've added 3 whole inches
His brother is standing straight up. He looks like he is leaning some. I can see 7 ft. He is also a little huskier than BIG Z

So, I hope I'm causing any trouble for LVille by pointing this out, as the insiders have been much more tight-lipped lately, but Demin was mentioned at least once, by name.

Another post or two noted that the second Euro guy we are pursuing has lottery pick potential.

On the other hand, as far as I'm aware, nobody has actually mentioned Tomislav Ivisic by name, although there has been some insider-liked posts talking about him and people such as @DAM1298 pointed out some social media follows. I'm not aware that of anything that quite "confirms" it's Ivisic, though, but as @Joel Goodson noted yesterday, that seems to be who the tea leaves are pointing to.

I think you’re crazy if you think for the NIL money it would take that CoHawk is going to a school where he’d only get 20 mpg.

Sounds like Ivisic is close to being locked up by Brad and Company. Working with Admissions to finish this one up. (That's the rumor, anyway.) If that's the case, Illinois needs to lock down a stud (or stud-lite) wing and maybe another ball handler to wrap up this offseason. I wonder who's still in play for those spots (Posh? Richmond? Poplar? Portal entrant TBD?)

He’s even got a very respectable 3p % over 40. Doesn’t do it in volume but appears to do it enough to make you respect it if he moves out. Will help create space for others if this is legit. I’d like to see more video.

Here is some video, older but has some substance.

Is this based on any actual evidence of just wishful thinking? I've seen nothing substantial that we're even in the ball game for him.

No such thing as a lock, especially for foreign prospects.
