I love Coleman. Watching him grow up over 4 years and be a leader of the Elite Eight team. Gave everything. However if he chooses to play college basketball elsewhere he is dead to me. I will remember him as someone who chose to play against the Illini. He will no longer be an Illini all time great. Its an insult to all the other all time Illini greats - Eddie Johson, Bruce Douglas, Dee Brown, Deron Williams, Nick Anderson, Kendall Gill, Kenny Battle, Terrance Shannon. None of them abandoned Illinois to play for another school

I mean, how does he get the massive bag at St. John's of all places? And why isn't our bag way bigger than theirs? Or maybe it already is, but anyway the bottom line is Richmond is going there and he's not going here. That's a miss. I really hope we go all out for Demin. Anything less and we're looking at a 6 to 8 seed caliber team.
Following this rationale, you should be protesting the Antigua hire. He spurned us when he left for Kentucky.
I for one will do nothing but cheer for CH no matter where he goes.

disagree. 10 is more than enough, and you wouldn't want to dilute the talent of your best guys to save resources for those extra spots.
13 scholarships just kinda doesn't make sense for the direction of where the sport is going.
It's a delicate balance and for me we're one Denzel away (a Russian Denzel, a Manchurian Candidate perhaps?) from striking it pretty perfectly.
In olden times it was probably thought that giving the last three players on the bench a college scholarship was a good investment.....

Sadly, I don't ever see the Nike coaches half-zips for sale. It's a shame, because I feel like these would be big sellers. As you said, they look great. They would also sell well since I'm sure people would like to wear the same things the coaching staff are wearing on the sidelines.
But this is something I've said for quite a while and never seen any sort of signal that Nike would change their course on not selling these. I'd absolutely buy the white one, and I'd probably buy one of the blue ones with the script Illinois as well.

They raise an interesting question, how did Egor end up on our radar or vice versa? Was somebody looking at draft projections and current salaries and pieced together that we might be open to listening? Was this an OA connection that Cal didn’t really need?
