Illini Gus on twitter saying (about 2 mins ago) that Demin is committing shortly. No idea on his track record/ reliability

A guy that has 129 followers on twitter and mostly posts troll stuff?

Seems Legit Martin Freeman GIF

I feel confident in two posters who might be insiders or have info before the rest if us.

There is also posters who make definitive statements on 50/50 future events. These are just educated guesses.

I'm not yet convinced on Demin, will see.

Been there…… except for the cockroaches and gravy. Oh, and it was Chik-Fil-A.

Lol...wut?? So you....literally haven't "been there".

That's like telling a Ferrari owner "I know what you mean"...when you drive a Ford Focus.

In regards to reports that we have one or multiple "really good" SG's that are ready to commit but we're waiting on Egor's decision first - I'm not sure why we aren't taking another SG right now - if it's Lanier or Poplar they would start immediately and so would Egor, it would just mean less playing time for Tre White and DGL, and maybe we lose one of them next year, but don't we have to put together the best team possible? Even with Egor - we'd be counting on Egor to be our #1 scoring option, it would be nice to have another shooter.

If it's the next tier down like:
Jailen Bedford
Lucas Taylor
Chaunce Jenkins

Then maybe the staff doesn't feel like they are a significant upgrade to Tre White or DGL, so it's a matter having one other SG who can play significant minutes as the back up plan to Egor - but I'd still take any of these three guys right now and if Egor comes let the cards fall as they may.

My point is - I don't see why we're not taking the really good SG that is ready to commit whether Egor comes or not
Probably a "Demin or portal SG" situation, as opposed to both (resource limitations would be my guess).

Whatever the reasoning, if "Demin or portal SG, not both" is the case and the staff has a high-impact SG ready to commit now, they need to pull the trigger. Absolutely cannot get left at the altar if Demin decides to stay with Real Madrid--I suspect whatever "really good" pieces still left on the board right now will have committed elsewhere by the time Demin makes his decision.

It's one thing to troll on twitter, but these freaks making Egor edits and saying stuff that he's committed and then tagging him in these posts need to stop, because they certainly are not helping.

One of his followers is Illini Guys. Which is Sturdy and Ked.
Not saying he’s legit but Sturdy following him gives him a little more credence IMHO

What do we have in this guy coming in? I like how he runs the court.
Interesting comment...must have just arrived back from the space station?

JJ is signed and expected to redshirt. However, he has skills that few have at his size. With maturation, skill development, experience, self-confidence, and Fletching, he should become a solid contributor to future Illini success. In years past, he would patiently wait for that opportunity and be ready when called upon. However, in today's world of college hoops...who the heck knows? The problem is that in the past, players like him were stuck and had to be content with the developmental path. But, if they can play at a fairly high level like the MVC or MAC and enjoy the process, some cannot understand the wisdom of that path in the country's elite collegiate hoops conference.
