Would Fears reclass to December graduation or May/Summer Graduation?

Because I feel like we'd still need one last guard depth piece whether that's Fears or Moretti

PG: Kylan Boswell (6’2”)
SG: Egor Demin (6’8”) / Dra Gibbs-Lawhorn (6’1”)
SF: Ty Rodgers (6’6”) / Tre White (6’7”)
PF: Ben Humrichous (6’9”) / Carey Booth (6’10”)
C: Tomislav Ivisic (7’1”) / Morez Johnson (6’9”)

I do understand that Rodgers, DGL, and even Demin may play point guard backing Boswell; but we'd be one Boswell injury from disaster. We wouldn't have enough guards right?
A backcourt of Kylan, DGL, and Egor is not going to leave much time for anybody else to play, unless we play Egor as a "3" (on defense, anyway). I see DGL on a minutes pathway similar to that of Coleman, who went from 6 min/game as a freshman to 19 as a sophomore. Add in 30+ for Kylan and Egor, and that's all 80 minutes in the backcourt. If Egor comes, I'd be surprised if Fears enrolls early -- I just don't see a path to great playing time and can't see him leaving HS star status for anything but a solid 16-20 min/game.

Sad Paul Rudd GIF by First We Feast
Especially when there's an edit button and one could just update the number on their gif...

Presumably he could start getting paid NIL as soon as he enrolls. So that might be enough incentive for him to come early, if he can. Plus, he could practice and get S&C sooner.

Moretti is a perfect backup backup if we can get him back.
If we get Demin, we don't need any more guards. If we don't get Demin we still don't need any more guards. It's no stretch to refer to wings as guards. So we would have Tre, Jake, Ty, Boswell and DGL already.

...yet another reason to support increasing the college game minutes--e.g., two 22-minute halves--likely less player dissatisfaction with PT and maybe less churning every year.

Plus, he may decide that being on a possible NC team out weighs being a senior in high school. I would think practicing for a year against college players would be better than playing against high schoolers. It would also be a year of much less pressure.

I could imagine a scenario where Kylan (1), DGL(2), and Egor(3) are all on the court at the same time.

This is not the level of diligence I’m looking for out of my …… (looks up Dariush) … cardiologist?! For Christ’s sake, man. Let’s be a little less speculative - even in your hobbies, lol.

And in the same game, I could imagine: Ivisic, Booth/Humrichous, Morez, White, and Demin on the floor at the same time for a stretch also.

Google translate to the rescue!

Today the news came out that EGOR DEMIN is going to make an official visit to Illinois and can immediately commit to an Illinois that is putting a lot of money on the line. Just one thing, Muss Bus is a serious alternative if it doesn't work out.

I like our chances. Still ironing things out with him and it’s not money related.
Glad to hear that it sounds like the financials have been agreed upon. Do wonder if it’s visa related, unsure of the drastic change in culture, even worth it for one year before draft, etc. could be way off but those are a couple things that I wonder if it could be tied to.

It’s almost always visa related when it comes to international players
