So did someone just randomly ask what the chances are that Fears reclasses in December and then it turned into a thing where people keep talking about it as a possibility now???

Unless I missed something, this is exactly what it seems like happened.
It is. Hope dies hard with this bunch. From the reliable sources here and elsewhere, Fears is a hard no on reclass, Domask isn’t coming back. Coleman isn’t coming back. Bryce Hopkins isn’t coming. We can’t predict the lineup and who’s getting how many minutes. We won’t play 10 guys a significant amount of time. We will probably be very good.

Former Nets player talking about the difference in playing overseas.

One guy's experience

For the most part these guys come over and do very well, it especially helps if you're a lotto pick kind of talent

Edit: Seems like he's saying it's harder for US players to adjust over there, doesn't say much about vice versa

I think this was the post that led to the speculation about a Fears reclass

That's a perfect example of why I despise the grifters on Twitter. Twifters? Griftwits? Eh, maybe something will stick.

Indy's post is the kind of bread crumb we love to be privy to, so we can analyze and theorize and feel more connected to the program and each other. It's what makes this board special. But to then take that playful speculation and publicly report it to try to get clicks and likes and follows, that's unacceptable. They're not insiders, they don't have sources, they just appropriate the info from this board in order to satisfy their sociopathic narcissism.

Meshing of personalities(major issue two years ago), defining roles and being in sync is going to be a monumental task for BU. Three new guys would be a challenge, but when you're talking about 7/8 new guys and a completely new starting lineup and rotational pieces...that's not going to be easy. To expect them to be a well oiled machine right out of the gates is unrealistic. There's a ton of chemistry, repetition and guys buying in 100% is going to be hard. This doesn't even take into account POTENTIALLY two guys that will have to get acclimated not only to their teammates, but to a major culture shift and style of game.

I can think of at least 2 noses that are going to potentially be out of joint from the jump.

Let's keep in mind that one of these guys, if we're successful, would be 18 years old. Some people get homesick moving from Chicago to Champaign. These kids are coming from a whole different part of the world and who knows what culture shock brings. To say that things will be different is an understatement. You're focusing on basketball and the bigger issue is focusing on life.

based on what has been posted @ Loyalty by our Oracles & online by Mr. Fears himself , he is NOT re-classifying........Even his dad said he is NOT re-classifying............why is this not getting through here.......Please give it up folks...........He is a 2025 recruit and I can't wait......he is a special talent..............................He really really is....................................
THIS. Don't rush it. Very often it doesn't work out as good as the rushers hope it would.

At this point, with all of the additions, it would be equally as messed up if a guy that transferred here based on roster projections and playing time availability was railroaded by a guy who loudly and proudly said that he's done playing here. I'm pretty sure he mentioned as much. You don't want to be the coach with a bait and switch reputation.

Edit: Who's to say that CH is better than any of the additions? Would he come back to not play 30 minutes?

Was hard to focus on any of that commentary with the background noise, however anecdotal it may be anyway (again, one guy's experience)

I just have a hard time seeing a lottery pick who is used to playing against grown men having a tough time adjusting to college game, that's all
I have a hard time seeing that too. Unfortunately Demin has essentially zero experience playing against grown men.

Ivisic is a very different story, on the other hand.

Yeah, we talking about basketball, right?

I wasn't worried about whether he would have a hard time knowing what side of the road to drive on

Agreed. If dgl is our starting 2 or getting huge minutes next year then I'm worried. He didn't look 1 year away from being a major contributior... Maybe in 2.
Partially agreed, but he might have been our 2nd best player off the bench in the tournament, definitely third.

I saw enough defensively to be happy, and I think if he settles down offensively he can be a real threat. No reason he couldn’t play 15+ mins next year on a really good team.

DGL will have to beat out several other good players for minutes. If DGL is getting a lot of minutes, it’s almost certainly a good thing. I think the same can be said for just about everyone on the roster.
DGL is as hard of a worker as anyone & Brad loves him. Underestimate him at your own risk. The receipts will be here. 😆
