That's what happens when word gets out that Demin is willing to play college ball. So yes, in the time we were trying to wrap things up, someone came in with a bid we would not pay. That, in no way means, it was the best decision to pay that much, and it certainly does NOT mean Illinois or any other school isn't wanting and fighting to win a championship!

Hard for me to believe that all of a sudden money is the hangup 10 hours later than this post and at this hour in the day this supposed info coming out. My greatest concern has always been the navigation of the visa process. . If I’m not mistaken it’s more complicated than another European country such as Spain for instance.

"Recruiting is fluid" is true now more than ever.

Until a kid is signed and shows up on campus healthy and eligible, it's best for your mental sanity to not pencil them in future lineups. And even then, they might transfer after a semester.

Player is in play with a team. A dozen other teams (or more) text him, and tell him he can get more money. Won't take long to change his stance on money.

I think of it as an auction on eBay. Price will be driven up as bids are entered towards the very end of an auction.
