This isn't the be-all, end-all statistically, I was just curious as an exercise.

Domask and TSJ returned for last season with total career points scored in NCAA basketball of 1,615 and 1,449, respectively. (1,280 for Guerrier)

Our roster for next year by total career NCAA points:

Tre White - 653
Kylan Boswell - 508
Ben Humrichous - 352
Ty Rodgers - 342
Jake Davis - 297
Carey Booth - 211
Dra Gibbs-Lawhorn - 66

Total - 2,429

That's more than I thought actually, but you get the point.
That is 700 less than we scored this year. Everyone improves 20% on average a year, which I read somewhere, we are "on par" for 74ppg/game. Someone or some, will improve quite a bit more.

Yep, and until we get that mega backer it's going to be like this every year. Getting good pieces but just missing that final big piece that puts it all completely together. We'll have some good teams that make the tourney consistently, but it's gonna take that huge backer for us to go above and beyond.

Talk about culture shock. Ask Jim McMahon about how much he enjoyed his time there. If he’s as good as they say, he shouldn’t be thinking about maximizing his money now. He needs to be thinking about how he can set himself up for a higher salary in the league. TV coverage brother! That will raise your draft status better than anything, Provo isn’t the best market for that.

c'mon, the NBA is gonna have all of his PT, regardless of where he goes

now, if your argument is that fit matters, that's a different story. but if the goal is to attain full alpha, he'll get that at BYU at least as well at Illinois and most likely better

The days of assistant coaches that are great recruiters are dead. Assistant coaches that actually can coach and game plan should be the premium. To get players all you need is cash, not relationships.
I know oversimplification is what we do here, but coaches who discount those relationships do so at their own peril.

Assistant coaches still need to be excellent at evaluations, relationships help them become aware of which players are worth looking at. With 13 scholarships across more than 300 schools, very few recruiting victories are going to come down to who offers the most money.

Or since he costs +$1M, we might as well add two guys given the NIL available. I do hope Egor comes to US to see if he is worth $2M. Nobody is worth that much for a single-year player IMO unless he is like Carmelo Anthony.

First, his stats look underwhelming to me, and playing in a lower conference. Hopefully he's just a potential backup piece. Second, why when I google him does it show him in a Dayton jersey, when we played for San Francisco? So many questions.

I believe if we were to pay someone big bucks I would prefer it be Coleman Hawkins, (not saying that it would take $2 million}.
I think he might be able to play the (3) or 3/4, and guard it very well.
There’s no doubt that is the Alpha I would like to come back..This is REALLY your team Coleman. No one on this team could be you..,

Fringe top 100 recruit out of an Ohio HS, played at Dayton as a freshman then transferred to USF.

Long, tangle of limbs kind of player, good shooter/skill level for this size, really lacks strength, seems disinclined to play through contact.

I liked Jake Davis' tape better, he popped at the college level immediately, this guy seems to just kinda be drifting his way through.

Understand people want to be positive but anyone thinking this offseason was anything but a massive failure is delusional. This is a bubble team
The offseason isn't over. Yet.
