Okay I know everyone thinks my post is crazy. I will admit it was a wild take only designed to get reactions. Some would even say a troll. Here is why this team is going to be damn good.

Big T: We are counting on a 7’1” center that’s going to have all summer with fletch and has an amazing touch around the rim and can pick and pop for three. He’s played really well in Europe.

Ben Hum: dude can straight up score. On a team where he doesn’t have to be the alpha, he will thrive.

Booth: played 20 mins a game averaged 6 points, 4 rebounds on 39/29/63 splits as a Soph. Dude has talent pumping through his veins and is primed for a huge leap.

Morez: potential to be one of the best ranked recruits in Illini history. Will he start? Probably not. Could he for other B1G teams, probably.

Tre white: underestimate this man at your own peril. He may just lead this team in scoring.

Ty: The EDG. Culture Carrier that will work hard to improve all summer and set the tone for the other guys.

DGL: Brad showed us that he trusts DGL. That’s enough for me.

Jake Davis: Luke Goode with more size, more handles, stronger body, and a better release. Oh and he can defend well.

Boswell: what a get. Amazing PG that will thrive in BUs floor spaced offense.

We do not run any sets and Brad has even said he doesn’t run sets on offense. This is good because spreading the floor and finding the open shooter is the NBA game and how we need to play with this talented team.

On defense yes Big T provides a presence.

I do think our team will play super hard and get after as all of Brads teams do. I think Brad is great at getting the guys to play hard which is a big thing in college basketball. was wrong and I just think what we have only one question mark… how amazing will this team be?

While we are at this, let's go over some of these teams
IU: Got a ton of talent, but Woodson is the coach and he's underperfomed with talent
Ohio State: Did they really get any better? Lost Battle Okrpara and Gayle and added Meechie and Bradshaw
Michigan: Their two best players play the same position and are limited offensively. We are way deeper than they are. I'll take Boswell over any of their guards
Purdue: Life without Edey is going to be difficult. Look at their roster. Outside of Braeden Smith, it is very underwhelming pieces or freshman
Rutgers: Two elite freshman and a pile of trash? Good luck
Maryland: Actually like what they have done. But once again, they have no one who can shoot in the frontcourt
MSU: An absolute joke people are saying MSU is better. They would KILL for a center line big t. Look at our frontcourt compared to there's. I'll take our pg over theirs as well
USC: Great offseason. Imo a top 2 or 3 big ten team
Northwestern: lol. Can over 50% of people on this board name guys on the team outside of their top 2 or 3 players for next year? Collins is a great coach but Buie carried that team
Kind of how I see it. How about UCLA?

It takes a special.....special.......post to jump into the Top 10 Dumbest Posts in Loyalty history.

I hereby submit this post for group consideration.
Sadly, I’m not sure that was even the dumbest post of the week — though number regarding MBB. There was one on Wednesday I think regarding a different program/coach that certainly deserves consideration.

I would say Indiana, Ohio State, Michigan, Purdue, Rutgers, Maryland, Michigan State, USC, and Northwestern are all better than us. Also UCLA, Wisconsin, Nebraska and Oregon are right where we are and would be toss up games.
I am assuming all of our sarcasm meters should be going off?

IU’s Roster

Rice>Boswell
Carlyle>Anyone else left in the portal
Mgbako>>Tre White/Ty
Reneau>>Humrichous
Ballo>>>Ivisic

Also, they have Galloway, a 5 ⭐️ McDonald’s all American, and Luke off the bench
And then there's Woodson, kind of like Fat Pat and Guy Lewis. They have talent yes, but can Woodson make it mesh? Track record so far says no.

And add to this that Braeden may also proved to be very underwhelming without Edey.

Sitting here in May the questions are: 1) will teams with many new players gel and which new players will come in and do the extra work to get better?
I hope Illinois has some players that want to be better than they were last year and use the off season to improve their weakness and surprise everyone. Too bad TSJ can't bottle his work ethic and give it to the Illini.

Hmm. I'll agree to disagree with you on this one. I see five players on this roster who were top 60 recruits, 4 players who shot >40% from 3 last year & 7 guys north of 6'6". On paper, this looks like a big, talented team with shooters.
Which 4 shot >40% from 3 last year? I see Humrichous and Ivisic. Jake Davis and Boswell were close, but not quite. The rest didn't crack 30%.
