Ugonna Onyenso or DJ Wagner?
Is there a reason why they are locked in on Miles Kelly? Seems like there are other SG who are in the 6-4-6-7 range, shoot higher 3's, can play in transition and booty ball. Is it NIL, relationship, mutual interest? I like the Trazarian White player from UNC Wilmington who burned Kentucky last year and averages 20 PPG. Also mentioned I also like Cedric Coward, Poplar, Lathon, Jaxon Robinson, and Nwanko (Community College).again they are looking at kasparas and waiting for miles kelly to drop out of the draft.
Lot of conflicting info out there …
Think it’s more likely we wind up with a guy going through NBA process than Egor …
I’ve listed the guys a couple days ago … It’ll be one of them based on what I’ve gathered … And I know Brad’s preference but people read this board and I ain’t gonna hurt us in negotiations …
Ain’t gonna be Kaluma or Wooga …
I’ll also say … There’s a certain kid people thought was a to follow his HC … It ain’t a lock and we’re in pursuit …

Jace Howard?
Indy Illini Fan: Would you consider Jamir Watkins more of a 3/SF? Or could he play (and start at) the 2/SG for Illinois? How's his ballhandling? His 2.8 assists per game, playing an average of 28.2 minutes per game, indicates that he's a willing passer.Lot of conflicting info out there …

Frank Stallone?Cedric Coward?
Of the top Wings that have been mentioned, there isn't one who was consistent against Power 5 teams. No TSJ in the group, even Trazarian White who put up 27 against Kentucky, lacked competiton against other Power 5 teams. Lathon has 3 solid games again Illinois, Indiana and Purdue but not much competition after that. Regarding Coward he has 7 games against Power 5 teams last year and average 11.5 pts. Miles Kelly, Wells (WSU) and Jaxon Robinson also didn't show consistency against Power 5 competiton.Eastern Washington kid? think he's good enough to do well in the BIG
Bro playing the what if game is stress full.We can play hypotheticals all we want with NIL had it come to fruition 20 years ago, but I find this argument particularly infuriatingly nonsensical, because if it were true, then:
1. Why did Dee ever stay when Self left, when Self actively tried recruiting him over to Kansas with him, where he clearly had economic incentive to do so? (and according to many sources at the time he was never on the fence about it or even remotely considered it unlike Deron)
And
2. Wasn't Self basically already playing this game back then and why we had several high end recruits interested? And why we lost those high end recruits when Self left. Had Self had access to NIL at Illinois 20 years ago, would he really have had no shot getting Dee?
I mean this Dee would have never come here or stayed an Illini seems like an incredible strawman argument to me, especially since he had a significant opportunity to no longer play here for more money at Kansas. And it also assumes Self wouldn't have had NIL but other schools would have when recruiting Dee. I just don't get this take.
Dee's an Illini for life because he proved it. It's really that simple.
Real Madrid 2, 2nd tier team I mean.Doesn’t Egor play on the Real Madrid team? I’m not sure how many grown men play at that level. Their roster doesn’t have anyone over 19. I could be wrong though.
We have had portal days that required 2 dispatches from the field, but 5?!? Awesome stuff - I always enjoy these posts and appreciate the effort that goes into them.
He better be great or they will regret that.TWO mil in NIL for Great Osobor to follow Danny Sprinkle to Washington according to the mother ship. How... is that even possible?
For some reason, Miles Kelly (Georgia Tech) had somewhat better shooting numbers in 22-23 than he did in 23-24. In 22-23, he averaged 14.4/3.4/1.3, and shot 41.0/37.9/89.8, in 32.4 mpg. In 23-24, Kelly averaged 13.9/5.5/1.8, and shot 36.9/32.1/73.3, in 31.8 mpg. The worse shooting was not due to higher usage this past season. But as someone said in an earlier post, Kelly was playing on a bad Georgia Tech team, and he was forced to take difficult shots late in the shot clock. Is there a reason why they are locked in on Miles Kelly?
