Would be lucky to finish in the top half of the B1G. At most a bubble team.
A lot of downside and fit questions on the roster but the bolded is plainly incorrect.

Boswell, Wells, Humdinger and Ivisic all on the court at once is insane floor spacing, we had nothing resembling that this season. Ty's gotta be the 5th guy in that scenario given his defensive flexibility and ability as a cutter.

But we don’t have 18 schollies.

Ha, stumbled across a /s post from @nichi last year. Same old same, old a year ago in the recruiting threads, of course, but got a bit of a kick out of this one.

"Anything short of 25 wins, a 4 seed, and an EE will be an abject failure, no ifs or buts.

Anyway, not sure why Wells would choose us, but I at least believe he'll drop out of the draft.

Pretty sure Indy was talking about Jaxson Robinson yesterday night. There's only 3 guys that we even know the names of - players that transferred, after their coach transferred: DJ Wagner, Jaxson Robinson, Jaylen Wells.

DJ Wagner - it's been pretty clear that we aren't targeting him. Jaylen Wells - nobody expected him to be a lock for Stanford. Robinson's the only guy that fits that bill.

As for Baba Miller - do we really need another 4?
Cedric Coward is another whose coach went to another school. I actually like Jaylen Wells the most. Had big games against Arizona and ISU. Both teams had great guard and often Wells appeared to be the higher ceiling guy. I think Illinois offense will give Wells a ton of open shots.

There seems to be a lot of out of work Division I head coaches on here that are offering their services to Brad to let him know what he should do, how he should spend NIL dollars, and if only they were involved could have closed on all potential prospects without fail. Keep all the good advice coming guys. He will listen eventually. I just wanted to thank you all so you don't stop offering all the great advice.

If we throw $1.5M at him?
I mean sure, I guess.

If we throw a bag at Wells we weren't willing to throw at Storr (an inarguably better player even considering his faults) we've kind of clowned ourselves, but we are desperate in this moment.

Wells is not a superstar and is kind of a one-tool player as a standstill shooter. He's also kinda not really a guard so you still squint a little bit in terms of lineup construction.

But any port in a storm, he would save our bacon here.

If we need 2 more impact guys, then 2 more of are current roster players are not going to make the rotation. Who are they and why?
Play a 10 deep, keep Jakstys and Jake in the limited minutes/redshirt role, leave 1 open. What's the problem with that?
