I think others have answered it - but those are points per 100 possessions stats. So the defensive ratings are how many points in those 100 possessions the player would be expected to give up (the lower the better obviously) - it combines steals, blocks, and has some additional factors to calculate it.
On the topic of "some additional factors", here are some of the notes that accompany the formulas on the basketball reference site:

"The core of the Defensive Rating calculation is the concept of the individual Defensive Stop. Stops take into account the instances of a player ending an opposing possession that are tracked in the boxscore (blocks, steals, and defensive rebounds)."

"Out of necessity (owing to a lack of defensive data in the basic boxscore), individual Defensive Ratings are heavily influenced by the team's defensive efficiency. They assume that all teammates are equally good (per minute) at forcing non-steal turnovers and non-block misses, as well as assuming that all teammates face the same number of total possessions per minute."

Until we have player tracking in college basketball, it's difficult to do much better than something along these lines for defensive rating. So take these with a huge grain of salt.

As for offensive rating, it should be taken in context with player usage (and, in my opinion, a player's teammates' offensive rebounding % would ideally be removed from the formula)

Just from a few highlights...Kasparas step back game looks pretty nice.

Looks like he plays with great pace and the shot is legit. He would take some time to adjust but there is great upside there.

Watkins should be the #1 priority, but Kasparas would be a very nice get.

A true dark horse would be DJ Wagner. Cal is dropping hints that he's got him, but no signing yet (that I can find.) Might be a meh pick from stats, but he's a get IMHO.
I'd be onboard with DJ Wagner for sure. Thought maybe he was the guy mentioned before that everyone assumed was a lock to follow his coach, but maybe not in reality because he has not signed yet.

Oh, yes...the greatest Illini shot of all time. "Williams to tie it with a 3...HE DOES!!!! Those words, and my following actions, will forever be engrained in my brain. That led to a high that I don't believe I'll ever experience again. Do you have anything to help me out @pruman91?
I agree. I was at that game and believe I'll never have such a lowest of lows to highest to highs sport moment again. Just incredible! Being there and experiencing it with about a dozen friends (along with Bill Murray) made it even better.
