That's great. I watched yesterday and he was mostly just setting up behind the arc waiting for people to pass to him.... Which in this setting can be few and far between. I honestly would love to see him defending in one on one situations.... So many times we put him on a guard (often pg) late...

How many other teams are salivating over Watkins right now? I'm sure a lot. My question is can we get him if there is a bidding war? Seems we have either lost or pulled out of those situations lately because the price got crazy? Is this finally our go all in situation and is that enough?

I'm always open to player making a jump from year to year. If dgl embraces his speed on defense to be that pest and learns good shot selection then it's possible he's getting 20+ minutes next year. He has springs in his legs so that should help as well My expectation is he plays 10 to 15...

Agreed. If dgl is our starting 2 or getting huge minutes next year then I'm worried. He didn't look 1 year away from being a major contributior... Maybe in 2.
