I am just one of many posters on here who's input doesn’t count……at least for much.
You can count the posters on one hand who’s input actually matters. The rest of us are just filler.

Watched a bit more and was interested to see that he actually has a pretty balanced game between the perimeter and the post.

Main question in my mind now is, can he effectively guard a wing on the perimeter? If yes, then he's quite interesting for a team that wants to exploit matchups.

(obviously he's still probably not someone you'd want to rely on as the go-to scorer on your roster next year, but obvious upside. Big upside.)

Can someone link me to the commercial of Coleman getting an autograph from Max and wearing a fake nose?

Hmm, does Illinois really need another big? Or is this a sign one of our portal transfers is looking around?
A fair question. Or would we call him a wing and just triple down on positional size? (Hence my question about him being able to guard on the perimeter. Brad also seems to think Booth could do this.)

I'm also reminded of a post from @Indy Illini Fan last month about Tre White and him guarding on the perimeter.

Agree ... Would you take him over Mongolian Mike ... That's the question and it's a no brainer IMO ...

So is he our top target now, or is he a secondary pickup? This doesn't feel like he would fill in our need at guard at all.
I mean I think it's pretty clear he's not a top target in terms of being a starter / impact pickup. We have 3 open spots - one seems earmarked for a starting 2 guard type. The others are a matter of if/how we choose to fill out a bench with additional size or ball handlers.

Oh yeah, if that's the scenario then agreed 100%.

I read a comment on him somewhere that he had a pretty late growth spurt - was actually like a 6'2" guard at age 16 or so, but has had a some awkwardness adjusting to his new height. But once he figures that out, he seems to have huge upside. (assuming the info about the late growth spurt is true - I didn't look into it a ton)

I guess there's some question as to whether he would figure it out while still in orange and blue, because it seems like next year he could possibly be drafted on potential alone, but seems like a chance worth taking if the opportunity is there.

Baba's upside is obviously very high, so I think he's a clear take if he's willing to compete for time at the SF spot with White and others.
He really just wants to play on the perimeter, not mix it up down low, which was a point of contention during his time at FSU, so you really have to look at him as a long SF and play him that way

He's another cautionary tale of a high talent international player probably hurting/delaying his draft stock by playing college ball - he was a projected first round pick a couple of years ago if he would have stayed in Spain. I think if he puts it together this coming year in college he would be a first round pick again and better prepared for the NBA, but he hasn't helped his draft stock the last 2 years at FSU

Miles Kelly hasn’t been talked about much in this thread. Definitely someone to keep an eye on.

Godspeed to those watching highlights of a guy with these offensive and defensive ratings:

To be fair - he played 256 minutes his freshman year, so you can take those ratings with a grain of salt
This past year TSJ had a DRtg of 106.1, so Baba was a better defender than TSJ last year - I'll take it!
(Obviously these ratings can be highly flawed vs. the eye test of how good of an offensive or defensive player someone is)

The lower the number on defensive efficiency the better the defense. Let’s just call it a tie. It’s minimalistic.

Ben would get eaten alive on D by B1G guards. He will be a good 4 for us and will help stretch the floor. He'll also take it to the cup on opposing 4s who close out on him irresponsibly. We need to pick up a quality 2-guard/wing.
Agreed on all counts. He's our starting 4. At SG, he would get abused.

5th in the ACC in personal fouls, something tells me his D will struggle. If we are down to Baba Miller and Mongolia Mike, I think the expectations are being lowered.
