Always think it’s interesting WHERE people carry their height. Mayer has a long torso it would seem. Dain has REALLY long legs.
I’m 6’3”ish which is just a bit over average but am almost always the “tallest” seated passenger on the plane. All torso.
I have him as 6th man for minutes played. Maybe the 2nd guy off the bench depending on the game but will get a lot of minutes. Can’t play a B1G schedule without playing him a ton IMO.
Will be interesting to see what Matt Mayer brings. Surprised that he’s not on this list as well. With as many minutes as we lost and what he put together for very successful and talented teams - I’d guess that the casual observer would assume he’s going to have a big volume year at least.
It seems like something they might be open to if they know about the sentiment and have a way to execute it within the framework of the system they use to sell tickets.
It will come down to turnovers. Art will hit a few big plays that will lead to scores. The question is how many points will he give Minnesota? If he plays turnover free I think we win.
I think 9 guys will compete for 8 spots, basically. Although if we play more uptempo I could see that 9th spot being used more often. In really tight games in goes down to 6-7 oftentimes.
More so separation anxiety as all the board activity went to the football side. But it’s true, I can barely contain my excitement. November trip to Vegas to see the beloved is slowly taking over all my thoughts…
Harris won’t play before Lieb/Perrin unless Epps/Rodgers isn’t as good as we think. Simply because we need 4/5 play more than we need guard/wing. As I stated in a couple places, this is less about Harris and more about the rest of the roster.
Thats what I’ve seen but considering we only play half a dozen to 10 games before he’d supposedly get here - just threw him where I think he slots for PT.
Doesn’t mean he’s the worst player. Or even anything less than a great player. Just means he has other guys ahead of him (in my opinion) and he can’t play 4-5 where there is less depth.
Same but that’s a tough group to jump in front of especially when bigs automatically slot ahead of you if you can’t keep up with the top few guards due to matchups.
Yea probably should have put something in there to that effect. I actually think early on the battle in practice between him and Lieb would be a good matchup and barometer as to where both of them are.
My best guess at starting 5 and rotation:
1 - Skyy
2 - RJ
3 - TSJr
4 - Mayer
5 - Coleman
6 - Dain
7 - Rodgers
8 - Goode
9 - Epps
10 - Perrine
11 - Lieb
12 - Harris
13 - Open
Gist of it is the first 5 is our best 5 players and most versatile lineup despite no true Center.
A lot less clear...
Stats be damned - I see a gritty player with a lot of ways to effect the game. Whatever his true height, he can jump over a kid his size to dunk, so I don’t think athleticism is a problem either. I’d love to land this kid. Open up Indiana to recruiting a little more each year.
