Hopefully Mo doesn't make a move just for the sake of making a move. He's seemed to have done that the past few seasons and it hasn't paid off.
Agreed. But the Cards could use another pitcher, IMO, either a starter or closer.

Surprised no one commented on the Reds sleeveless uniform. Thought it was tacky! Don’t recall ever seeing a team wear that type of uniform before.
The Reds wore sleeveless uniforms back the late 50's and into the 60's. It is my understanding that they're wearing them and other "throwbacks" this year in honor of the 150th anniversary of the undefeated Red Stockings team of 1869.
Well that was a wild game.
He is totally taxed right now.I'd be fine with the games the next couple of nights being blowouts for either side just so Carlos can get a couple of days rest.
Chasen Shreve, whose 10th inning pitching led to the Cardinals coming within an eyelash of blowing last night's game, was "designated for assignment" today.
Shows how meaningless wins are as a stat. Guy "wins" and gets released the next day.
Well, he's doing pretty well. Oh, and though not the cause, Goldy can help with that too. They had to make room for Mayers. He's the lowest guy on the totem pole. Above hi is Leone. They will keep him for the season. Who knows about next year. Only 3 games and 2 innings. -0.1 WAR. In two years he sure wasn't used very much only 16.2 innings. The 3.78 is't terrible The FIP is 5.33.
Now it's up to Gallegos to keep the Voit trade from being a total bust.
Did Gallegos ever pitch for the Yankees? He is impressive!
Made famous by Ted Kluszewski in the early '60s, throwback jersey day.
That's a road trip that I can appreciate, 7 of 8!
Looks like with the way Maddon has set up the pitching match-ups for the Cubs this weekend at Milwaukee, the Cardinals will avoid Lester and Quintana next week at Busch.
