New rules will allow schools to host 28 official visits in a 2-year span.. An increase from 24.
NCAA refers to it as the "Illinois Rule"

I always like to find a website where a new NCAA rule is shown and I found that website for the new rule changing the number of official visits from 24 to 28 in a rolling two-year period.
Here's a link to that NCAA website:
http://www.ncaa.org/about/flexibility-going-pro-and-getting-degree
The change from 24 to 28 official visits is mentioned in the paragraph labeled "More chances to visit colleges during and after high school."
Wouldn't that be "an Illinois rule"?
Don't we have a rule about former Governors going to jail...So far we have the “Can’t host your own regional”, the “video review of possession in the last two minutes” and now the “here, have some more visits, idiot” rules... Is that the full collection of Illinois Rules?
We also have a replay rule for football fumbles. So far we have the “Can’t host your own regional”, the “video review of possession in the last two minutes” and now the “here, have some more visits, idiot” rules... Is that the full collection of Illinois Rules?

Would be pretty amazing, but don't think it's happening still...So ... is Leron Black still eligible now?
More than a few of those!NCAA refers to it as the "Illinois Rule"
You forgot that we can't get top 15 talent to commit to Illinois basketball. Not even sure it's allowed. So far we have the “Can’t host your own regional”, the “video review of possession in the last two minutes” and now the “here, have some more visits, idiot” rules... Banana, I'd still prefer the baseball/hockey model where the athlete can choose a career path of sports, albeit through the minor leagues, or if they are good enough, jump right to the bogs. The other alternative wold be college athletics with all the limitations that imposes, with the understanding the primary goal is an education, not preps for the big leagues.TBH this is as it should be. Don't punish players for testing the waters and let them get honest feedback. That said, the NBA pre-draft combines just got a whole lot more interesting and a lot more college teams will be sweating come draft time...
