On that last play (and it's freaking genius if it was on purpose) is the "sort-of" screen Trent sets right before Ayo makes his move. I'm guessing BU knew they would be overplaying Ayo to force him left. But the defender is only shading him at first. Basically saying, "I'll give you your left, but I'll be able to stay on/in front of you as you drive left to the hoop." Once Trent goes up to (maybe?) set the screen/fake screen you can see the defender not just shade but angle himself as if he is about to have to fight over the top of a screen. To do this, he has to angle himself even more to make sure Ayo won't be able to rub him into the screen and get around him for the easy lay-up/assist. In the 1 second where the PSU player on Trent probably said "SCREEN LEFT" to the player on Ayo, and the player on Ayo started the motion to re-position to keep from getting stuck on the screen, Ayo makes his crossover. It's a thing of beauty. The PSU player is still reacting to the idea of the screen when Ayo pushes in for the almost untouched drive to the hoop. I'm guessing tired legs had something to do with the defender not being able to react quick enough but it was so BANG, BANG, BANG that I don't know if he would been able to recover if it was in the first 10 seconds of the game. I think it also helped that Ayo made a motion like he was about to go right to sell the idea of a screen. The PSU guy simply had no chance with all this stuff working against him.
