Listen, I've got no reason to doubt that you, our other random eye witness(es), and the growing number of 247 crystal ball owners are wrong. There is far more evidence than usual (usual being none) that he verbaled to our staff. But I also don't doubt that other recruits have "silently verbaled" to our coaching staffs before, only to send a letter elsewhere. My point is that a LARGE majority of recruits don't just verbal to the staff they are committing to, they verbal publicly. Especially if they are making their decision before they can actually sign. That doesn't seem to be happening in this case. Recruiting is strange enough when people follow the generally establish protocols for the whole process; we've been kicked where it hurts before. Now, we've got a recruit who we all seem very sure is coming to Illinois, when he hasn't yet (and doesn't show any sign that he will before signing day) come out and say "I'm going to Illinois". If he has really, fully made up his mind, why isn't he doing the thing almost everyone does when they've really, fully made up their mind? Again, I believe it. I think he's coming. But those are the times you need the cup the most.
