Not sure I’ve seen this posted anywhere but here is a bit of practice footage. My biggest takeaway is Kofi looks much smoother on the block and more fluid overall. Looks like the game has slowed down for him a bit.
This team should have a lot of versatility. I’m excited to see the different combinations.
Some of our most competitive games MAY be in practice!!
Loved ALOT from that video, but the coaching from veteran players is what will make this team gel in the end! And anyone who has been around a team that truly gels, knows how much better they are than just talent alone!
- We all know Ayo, Kofi, and Miller are going to be really good.
- Trent and DMFW shot looked a little smoother.
-Hawkins had the most pure splashdown 3 of anyone I saw PLUS he was guarding Ayo and looked fine doing it a couple possessions. If we have to go big in some games this year, his experience of playing all 5 positions in just the last few years could come up BIG for us. Before he leaves, a lot of teams will be frustrated by his flexibility at different positions.
- Curbelo may just take the point by mid season and run it the rest of the year. Who does that leave out? Nobody, everyone is still going to contribute and get theirs.
- Grandison, ehh, didn't see much, but hit a shot. Short clip, we shall see
- Giorgi coaching up the kids and FINISHED at the rim. So many of his missed shots last year were soft finishes. We had bets going in the stands for a few weeks there last year of how many times he could dunk but didn't in a game.
- Would love to see a healthy BBV and Hutch but they seem to be lifelong injury prone.
It's going to be a fun ride, too bad its in front of a TV and not in my normal seat
