Brian Randle lays in his first basket of the game. Randle finished with 9 points and 9 rebounds.

For the second consecutive Saturday game away from the Assembly Hall, Illinois saw a 16 point 1st half lead disappear. Unlike the Phoenix game, the Illini didn't fall behind and held on for a 71-66 victory over the UIC Flames Saturday at the United Center. Rich McBride had 13 points, Chester Frazier had 10, and Brian Randle made his return since being out for nine games recovering from groin surgery.
