Illini Live to Play Another Day
March 8, 2007 8:48 PM
Illinois had a bit of problem holding a 16-point 2nd half lead against Penn St
today in the opening round of the Big Ten Tournament.
Mike Walker hit a BTT record 7 3-pts and brought the Nittany Lions
to within 3 in the final minute of play; fortunately Illinois managed to knock down
a few free throws to wrap up the victory. Chester Frazier was huge with a
career-high 21 points, and Warren Carter added 19.
The win is the Illini's 17th-straight victory at the United Center.
Next up for the Illini is the 3rd meeting of the season with Indiana, Friday at 8pm.
