Reasons for optimism

Illinois
I know this season is only two home cupcake games short thus far, but I think there are a few reasons to be optimistic as we look forward to our first test at Vandy this week.

1. Our guard play looks to be improved from last year. Both Chester and Trent have had a strong opening two games. Trent has shot the ball well from three point land and has had several strong drives to the basket. Chester has shown flashes of offense, something missing in his first three season without a doubt. He hit a few nice three in the first couple games and has worked as hard as ever on both ends of the floor. Though McCamey hasn't set the world on fire thus far, he hasn't really had to; as the season progresses I would expect him to come on strong in tougher games, since that seems to be when he shines the brightest.
