How's that for an early Happy New Year?
Chester Frazier, who was the primary defender on Purdue's Robbie Hummel, had seven rebounds, seven assists and just one turnover in 41 minutes of action. And he helped hold Hummel to seven points, less than half his average.
Weber said assistant coach Jerrance Howard, who did the scouting report on this game, wanted to put the 6-foot-2 Frazier on the 6-8 Hummel. The staff agreed, but even before the game Weber asked Howard, "Are you sure?" And Howard said, "Yes, let's go with it."
