No I-N-I...just ILL

Bruce Weber has been coaching the motion offense for nearly 30 years. If there are any gimmicks, geegaws or gadgets available to help Illinois' dreadful offensive play, now would be the time to implement them.

Of course, there are no such panaceas. So there could well be more nights like Thursday, when the Illini made just 21 of 64 shots (32.8 percent) in their 63-50 loss at Wisconsin.

"It's been like that for awhile now," Weber said. "I don't know what to do. If I had an answer, I would correct it.

"You have to adjust the second half of the season. You play a team a second time, they're going to take some things away. We've got to get better open shots. I wanted to be aggressive and attack them. We pushed the ball early, got some baskets. But then we didn't take good shots. We took some quick ones in that stretch...so it's a fine line: What's a good shot/what's a bad shot.
